A background picture should be able to grab a visitor’s attention and reflect the owner’s interests. Sometimes, several photos cut and pasted together will do wonders for your page in the eyes of your friends.
Another important factor is the page color. Choose colors for your background that go well with the color of your text. Yellow and white do NOT go well together. Black and white, or red and grey look good together. Sometimes, choosing flamboyant colors simply does not create any appeal, even if it does reflect your personality. Don’t forget attractive pages are ones that are easy to read.
Whatever you feel is important to you, place it first or on top. Consider it the header or heading, because that’s what will be first thing that people read. Put the random quotes, miscellaneous items and links at the bottom for
your friends (or side menu).
